  • The role is to conduct the shariah compliance review by examining and evaluating the level of shariah compliance in all BIMB Investment activities and operations

  • Recommend appropriate remedial and rectification measures to resolve non-compliances and control to avoid recurrences.

  • Report the outcome of shariah compliance review and non-compliances to the Board Committee, Shariah Committee and Management.

  • Conduct AMLA checks, verify and report, if applicable on a periodic basis.

  • Submission of regulatory compliance report to the regulator within prescribed timelines.

  • Provide support to other areas of duties as assigned by the Supervisor.


  • A recognized Degree in Law, Audit or Shariah related certification

  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in compliance functions or internal audit in a fund management industry

  • Experience and good understanding of the asset management and unit trust industry including Islamic investment products and services, and capital market products

  • Good understanding of applicable AML Laws and Regulations

  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia

  • Meticulous, systematic, strong attention to detail and complex processes

  • Good writing skills and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player


  • The role is to lead, formulate strategies and tactics, drive and grow BIMB Investment very own digital investment platform.

  • To build and forge strategic alliances and partnerships with online and offline entities to cross sell and market BIMB Investment digital investment platform.

  • The key performance indicator of the role is measured through the size and the growth of the assets under management (AUM), revenue and profitability of the digital investment platform.


  • Minimum degree holder from a recognized Universities

  • Minimum 8-10 year experience in the Unit Trust and Asset Management industry with background in sales and marketing

  • Possess FIMM unit trust license

  • Strong presentation skills, negotiation skills, excellent writing and communication skills

  • Matured, independent and resourceful

  • Experience and understanding of the asset management and unit trust industry are vital for this role


  • The role is responsible to provide in-depth credit analysis research in both domestic and foreign fixed income space to assist the development and execution of investment strategies with the objective of producing reliable, accurate, timely and detailed research on macro and micro economic analysis and company valuations

  • To perform detail credit analysis for Sovereign Sukuk, Quasi and Corporate Islamic Private Debt Securities issues (domestic/foreign, rated and non-rated corporate sukuk). To identify, evaluate and recommend appropriate investment decision based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • To participate in organized visits as part of data gathering process for research materials in order to produce meaningful and up-to-date information.

  • To manage and maintain centralized data collection and report, publications, etc, in order to ensure Investment Department has proper research library for future references.

  • To assist in fund management, dealing & cash management that include tracking the portfolios’ cash flows, executing money market placement and keeping track of portfolios’ maturities, reinvestment and other money market related activities.

  • To provide support to Head of Investment in developing and maintaining contacts with capital market industry players and listed companies IR in order to have variety access of information.

  • To assist Investment team in preparing the performance review of funds under management and prepare weekly and monthly reports, bulletin and statistics on the market and funds in order to provide necessary information to the relevant parties.

  • To assist Head of Investment in carrying out any marketing duties as required from time to time.


  • Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in credit analysis and Fixed Income market research functions in a fund management company / credit rating house.

  • A recognized Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Investment Banking or related field.

  • Professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CPA/CFA/CFP or equivalent will be an advantage.

  • Good understanding of the asset management and unit trust industry including investment and economic analysis

  • Good writing skills and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
